My Pa Strongest!
| September 15th, 2009The age old phrase that doesn’t wanna phase out of our lives. Everyone has their own reasons and beliefs as to why “My daddy is strongest”. Me too. Not sure if I can say strongest, but certainly the most amazing and awesome Dads. The best that I can have and I could have asked for.
“Not sure if I can say strongest” .. some would say “hmm.. that’s interesting”. But than if you’d know me. I believe I am a very sensitive and emotional guy, though I am excellent in facading it all away. Par Pa to mere Baap hain na. He is extremely sensitive and emotional when it comes to family, especially both me and bro.
Fauji hain Pa mere. Naval Officer. A master at his work. You should see him command. I have grown up seeing these two sides of his. Hardcore Naval Officer and so soft heart Person outside uniform. Shake his hand and you’ll be surprised to find a soft hand. One always expects a Defense Officer to have rough hands. Well that is something I have inherited from him.
Sometimes I wonder how Pa managed when both me and bro were away from home in hostels with no mobile phones or instant communication facility. Right now we are like 2 hours drive away and though we get to see him over the weekends and sometimes only in fortnights, he’s like missing us extremely and always. And that is because I hardly call him up. He does many a times. But every time I fail to call back. Well that’s me. Something I’ll change starting today.
I have been earning for 5 years now and still I am so so dependent on him. For smallest of my works. I don’t even need to tell him, he’d know it all by himself. And I tell you – Pa and his ways of getting things done. Give him a problem, anything, and he would have a solution. And so so so much energy that I’d never have. (He’s also the most physically fit and mentally strong person in our family).
Pa – I’d fight you, scold you, not talk to you, forget to call you, but whatever it be .. I LOVE YOU, MISS YOU, CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU!
