Be alive and Live!!

| August 17th, 2008

Vik! An advocate, born in a multimillionaire family. Money is everything to my dad. Derby and Horse Farming is in my blood from my great grandfathers.

Idealist as you may call me, I thought this profession would allow me serve the innocent and bring justice to the guilty. How wrong I was. An old lady came to my Law Office. I was just a helper and no good from practice. Her son was framed into a murder by some wealthy business tycoon. Case was clear though, clear evidence to prove the man innocent. But bosses refused to take the case as the poor old lady was no way in a position to pay their fee. They rejected the old lady and she left the office weeping. It took me by shock when I got the news that her son was convicted and she committed suicide. I knew that it was my bosses who were to be blamed for this. All they cared about was money and for them humanity and justice never meant a thing. But I thought there is still some space for idealism and humanity in this world.

le prix d’amour, c’est seulement amour… il faut aimer si l’on veut etre aime

How true is that? The price of love is only love!

To be very frank, it actually is ignorance, it is hypocrisy, it is disappointment, it is insult, it is pretension. In all senses it is unfair. But so is life! Yet we LOVE our LIFE.

Love .. to laugh about later. And you will find me laughing .. at myself! Laughing at the fact that I have been 3rd time lucky.

Had I not witnessed this, the spirit of sportsmanship and spectatorship lives in me!

I am not a player of a gentleman game, I am not a sportsman, I aint a fan of cricket not even a spectator. I myself have never proven my actions had I been on field for a sport. But what carries me to the spirit of this sport or any sport is the custom attached.

Though very recently I have been proven hypocrite, I have been proven not a man of my own words, beliefs, principles and ideals. I don’t know how much of this would actually make any sense. Cricket is not my forte, I don’t play, I don’t watch, I don’t talk and I don’t even follow cricket at all. But the domestic league at my company drove me to go and watch every encounter taking place between any team, be it mine or others.

Kal-El .. the voice of god!

| May 25th, 2008

Don’t ask me how this quote links to my post:

“A staple of the superhero mythology is, there’s the superhero and there’s the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he’s Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man.

And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red “S” – that’s the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears – the glasses, the business suit – that’s the costume. That’s the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He’s weak……he’s unsure of himself……he’s a coward. Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race.

Still struggling with boot problem. But besides that everything is working just the way I like it! Here is a glimpse of how my desktop currently looks like.

I have realized the “workaround” is turning out be my favourite word. A word the people around me hear me saying very frequently :D .

I have downloaded Fedora Core 9 and spent my whole Sunday afternoon and evening in installing and then debugging the boot problem only to know that they have made changes to Grub and the way Fedora 9 boots.

I use a Fedora Core distro as a dual boot OS with my Windows XP based laptop. I have been using Fedora on my laptop for quite a while now. Fedora 8 was the best so far as only in this core version I was able to run wireless network. But I had abandoned it because I still cudn’t get Checkpoint VPN up and running on a linux machine.
